BRIEF: Express Scripts, along with City & State, are holding a panel discussion on current measures, public and private, aimed at addressing the rising cost of prescription drugs in New York. The conversation will look at strategies for controlling or reducing the cost of prescription drugs, the cost-savings to be achieved from the promotion of biosimilars under the Affordable Care Act and the benefits for individuals, as well as conversation about priorities for new administrations in New York’s City Hall and City Council.

City & State hosts leaders and public officials in the health and hospital sector to discuss potential changes in delivery of services if large mergers take place.  Also, with the planned expansion of several of New York City’s large hospital / healthcare systems in Manhattan, such as Langone Medical Center and New York Presbyterian, and the spate of recent closures in the outer-boroughs, how will those outer-borough residents, many  of whom are low-income, be served moving forward?
